A typical Day in the Life of TELC

Tafelsig Early Learning Childhood Development Centre

Children enrolled in our EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME engage in a variety of creative, stimulating and educational activities every day.   Each class has its own age-appropriate daily programme which may include:

  • the morning discussion ring
  • creative art activities
  • water play
  • fantasy play
  • block construction
  • maths activities
  • music and movement
  • outdoor play
  • language activities
  • educational games & puzzles
  • life skills
  • story time

Breakfast and lunch are served daily. This includes providing approximately 150 meals to “at-risk” members of the community through our COMMUNITY FEEDING PROGRAMME.

To maintain energy levels, children also receive a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack.

Our AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMME starts at 14:30 and provides school-going children an opportunity to complete homework, read, play, and free choice to do a variety of art such as painting, drawing, etc.
